While most applicants will be able to take advantage of digital fingerprinting sessions, traditional ink and roll fingerprints are required for foreign police checks (including an FBI check), some high level Canadian security screening purposes and for those individuals whose fingerprints are of too poor quality for electronic submission.
Morpho fingerprint technicians understand the requirements for fingerprint submission to the RCMP and to foreign countries for criminal record checks and are able to advise you regarding your eligibility for electronic submission of your fingerprints.
For applicants requiring submission of a physical fingerprint card to the RCMP, processing times can take an average of 120 days provided no criminal record is encountered.
Please note: Effective July 1st 2014 the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, RCMP, will no longer accept mailed copies of inked fingerprint cards except under special circumstances.
